The Era of Remote Working in a Post-COVID World

Global spending fell by 3.2% in 2020 as a result of the COVID pandemic, but Gartner expects global IT spending to rise by 6.2% this year to a total of $3.9 trillion (£2.85 trillion).
Specifically, enterprise software is expected to witness the strongest rebound followed by the devices segment, which is expected to see a growth of 8% in 2021.

The research firm regards digital businesses dominate technology trends with cloud computing, business application, and the customer experience in late 2020 and early 2021. It takes businesses back in the race and stays ahead of the competition in what is now a digital-first world.

Besides, Gartner also predicts that in 2024, expediting the #digitaltransfromation plan by at least five years is definitely a must to survive in a post-COVID world, where remote working and digital touchpoint will become the norm.

All in all, digital transformation is no longer a choice. It represents the dominant technology trend that must be interwoven with wider operative initiatives to eliminate workload from processes and gain competitive advantages.
