On July 14th, 2022, the SEPT Competence Center team from Leipzig University (Germany), in collaboration with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, hosted the IntVET Symposium: International Partnerships and Business Models in the Vietnamese VET Sectors.
IntVET is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The project investigates relevant success factors of international business models for the export of vocational education training to Vietnam. IntVET will contribute to exploring the factors that dictate successful business models of VET (Vocational Education and Training) providers in an international context.
Among the 40 participants from Germany and Vietnam who attended the event, 18 of which were high-profile VET (Vocational Education and Training) providers found alliance with each other, opening more commercial and partnership opportunities for the Vietnamese-German VET field in the future.
DIGI-CONNECT was presented as an online training platform, including a learning management system (LMS) and a recruitment platform (especially for the BPO industry). This e-learning platform facilitates the remote training process, arms the beneficiaries with essential BPO skills, and creates jobs for marginalized groups.
ABOUT DIGI-CONNECT:
DIGI-CONNECT is a project co-funded by the German Investment Corporation (DEG) and DIGI-TEXX, managed by the non-profit organization – ASSIST Vietnam since 2020, driving to resolve the lack of trained employees in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry.
The project creates job opportunities for marginalized groups in rural Vietnam who are in need of employment. The targeted groups of the DIGI-CONNECT project are women, persons with disabilities, and unemployed youths.
Once graduated, the beneficiaries will gain the fundamental skills required to work in the IT/BPO industry, arming them with the necessary qualifications to be employed by either DIGI-TEXX or other companies within the industry.

We believe DIGI-CONNECT and our other future CSR projects will bridge the gap between recruiting and training disadvantaged individuals for employment, creating a fair environment for marginalized groups in Vietnam.
